ADB over network

Android TV exposes ADB over the network once you enable developer options and network debugging. From a computer on the same LAN, adb connect <tv-ip>:5555 then adb install file.apk.

This is the fastest path when you are testing many builds, and it gives you logcat, which is the only practical way to diagnose a launcher that misbehaves on a specific TV.

1. On the TV: Settings → About → tap Build seven times.
2. Enable USB/network debugging in Developer options.
3. On the computer: adb connect <tv-ip>:5555
4. Install with adb install -r file.apk
