How to change the default launcher on Android TV

Artículo en inglés

Android picks the default Home app from whichever launcher is currently set as the home activity. On most certified devices you can change it under Settings → Apps → Default apps → Home app.

Some manufacturer builds remove that entry entirely to keep you on their launcher. Those boxes need ADB: adb shell cmd package set-home-activity cc.cleanyourtv.home/.MainActivity, then press Home.

If neither path works, the stock launcher is likely a privileged system app that reasserts itself. On such devices you can still launch CleanYourTV from the app list, but you cannot make it the Home app without deeper changes.

Cómo instalarlo

  1. Install CleanYourTV and open it once so the system registers its home activity.
  2. Open Settings → Apps → Default apps → Home app and select CleanYourTV.
  3. If that entry is missing, enable network debugging and run: adb shell cmd package set-home-activity cc.cleanyourtv.home/.MainActivity
  4. Press the Home button on the remote to confirm the new launcher appears.

Preguntas frecuentes

Can I go back to the stock launcher?

Yes. Use the same Settings entry to pick the original launcher, or run set-home-activity with its package name. Uninstalling CleanYourTV also returns the system to the stock launcher.
