The stock launcher is not bad software. It is optimised for a different job: showing you what Google and its partners want you to watch. If that is what you want, keep it.
CleanYourTV targets the opposite: a fixed grid of your apps, no recommendation row, no network permission, and no account. The trade-off is that you get no curated content discovery.

- You gain: faster home screen, no ads or sponsored rows, no account required, full offline operation.
- You gain: module cards from any app, custom ordering, and per-app hide/pin.
- You lose: Google's recommendation row and cross-service continue-watching.
- You lose: Assistant integration on the home screen (it still works elsewhere).
- Keep the stock launcher if you rely on voice-first browsing or Google TV's watchlist.
- Both launchers can coexist. Press Home to choose; set CleanYourTV as Always once you are sure.

Can I switch back?
Yes. Press Home and pick the other launcher, or change the default home app in Settings. If the stock launcher was disabled, re-enable it first.
