SmartThings on Android TV is a companion rather than the full phone experience: it shows device status, runs scenes, and can surface a camera feed, which is genuinely useful on a screen people already look at.

Setup is done on the phone. The TV app signs into the same account and inherits your rooms, devices and automations, so there is no separate configuration to maintain.

It is the sort of app that belongs behind a module card rather than on the dock: you check it occasionally, not daily.
